The game seems to error out a lot on the battle bunny level; I kill the bunny master right away and often still have battle bunnies; then I can sometimes only move one square before the game forces a save and errors out. I can reload and play 1-2 turns before the same thing happens again. I end up building a wall of doors to hold back the damn battle bunnies and leaving them walled up. Is there any way to fix this or avoid the bug? IMHO Battle Bunnies is the most annoying level and should probably be taken out of the game... if we ever see another version (HA! Like that's gonna happen)

I've experienced the same bug, although in a different place. Like you describe, I would try to perform an action and instantly it would shut down. I don't know what triggers it, I do know that your character is lost.

As far as the battle bunny level, if you're strong and crafty enough to make it that far, they shouldn't present too much of a problem. Dig, kill Bugs, finish off his spawn.

That's what I do. I use a wand of digging and ball his ass down in a round or 2. Thing is that the Battle Bunnies show up anyway. Don't know why. Once they start spawning they can't be stopped, it seems, and once they hit critical mass they will crash the game. I think that they ignore the rule of how many monsters can be on the level... which obviously exists for a very good reason! Fortunately my character wasn't lost, the game would save and I could load, perform another 1-2 actions (depending on what they are), and it would save again, erroring out. I could reload and play another turn, etc, and eventually walled away the damn bunnies with doors.

The max monsters thing does not apply on duplicating monsters. Gremlin caves are almost always totally filled with gremlins and i've once had the big room exploded with worms.

The battle bunnies wont appear if they are killed to extinction on the level. It does allow teleportation, so if possible detect monsters-teleport-kill tactic should be fast enough to get rid of all battlebunnies.

there is no reason to have a bunny epidemic if you are spoiled. Bugs and his (three or four by the time I kill him) bunnies are dead before there is a chance to see ten of them. Dig, kill bugs, kill bunnies.

Preventing digging and teleportation on that level would be interesting though. You still should be able to wall off the bunnies to only half the board and then dash through the bunnies (much like gremlins) with invisibillity to kill bugs.

Filled bunny level itself does not crash the game. I had my first character in the Bunny Level ever let the thing go out of control. It was completely, utterly, full of bunnies. There is no "critical mass".

Killing Bugs didn't help me shit back then.

Maybe some fiber or a laxative would have done it?
