I am permanently invisible. How am I supposed to become chaotic if I can't drag any farmers/children out of terrinyo? Alas, for visbillity! Perhaps I should try some of the remaining pools (primarily in the unremarkable dungeon)... I also have a RoDS, but I think I need to save that wish. Killing your useless ratling traders should get you to CN. Maybe killing beggars in Lawenilothehl. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

pickpocketing a non hostile. Once pickpocketed, the message "you have already cleaned -foo-" is generated and alignment drops. This can be repeated, useful for getting CN for ratling quest and NL for dwarven mystic. |

I usually kill beggars. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Originally posted by noob: "I'm everytime amazed how you people know to exploit every single little bug (or not-bug) for elaborated scumming tatics even if the feature seems completely useless or bad." |

If you're after Avatar of Balance or Ultimate Chaos God, killing the white unicorn is a handy way to become extremely chaotic. Not so advisable for aspiring Avatars of Order who may want to cleanse themselves before going through the chaos gate. |

Pickpocketing is a good idea, except that I already killed Yergius... bye bye ratlings! "If the bread weights that much in the draklor chain, then it's no wonder so many die of starvation. GAH! There is no farmer in the HMV! should I try creating monsters there (got lots of wands of monster creation) to see if one is a farmer? I cannot lead farmers out of the HMV, do not have any scrolls of familiar summoning (to kill farmers in terrinyo by pets, even though I have three farmers trapped on the edge as I type), and I would prefer not to give all of my gold (25000) to buy the clay golem. Could I lure some chaotic monster (like the mad doctor, a dark sage, or something) to terrinyo to kill farmers? I would also prefer not to expend my wish especially since I may need it to deal with the ToEF appropriately. ... ... HELP! ... If you only have 25k to your name then I really wonder why you're so desperate to get a farmer corpse right now. It's nice to complete Gaab'Baay's quests early, but in no way necessary. Still, you do have the option of killing as many people as possible in HMV and eventually a farmer will spawn there. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

The reason I want to complete Gaab'Baay's quests early is so I can get crowned. While I am chaotic, I have no access to my deity (I can only heal ~40 hp with blessed Spensweed). I don't feel very threatened by the immediate danger level, but I am not comfortable enough to move on past the water temple. I will see if I have a wand of stunning to stun one of the farmers on the edge of the terrinyo. Otherwise, its time to clear out the HMV (and possibly use a few monster creation charges to see how that works since I won't use those wands in any other way) EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED BY ACCIDENT! Here's how: First I made the farmers that I had trapped on the edge of terrinyo angry by trying to stun them. Then I accidentally ran into them and slew them each in one hit. I received no repercussions from the townsfolk. Now to get lawful and get crowned! "If the bread weights that much in the draklor chain, then it's no wonder so many die of starvation. Pretty lucky with the farmers. I thought I remembered, long ago, usings pickpocket skill at lv 1 on a farmer, in order to make him angry at me, and hit me first. I could then slay him and not make the town hostile. If I remember correctly, it even worked on shop- keepers. That was in ADOM 1.0.0 though, and I wasn't sure it would still work, so I didn't mention it. WoMC can be useful to create human... er monster shields. Running through a narrow corridor from a powerful monster can be dangerous. If you create a monster shield between your- self and said monster, they will not shoot missiles or bolt spells at you. Sometimes, they will swap places with them to melee with you though. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

I'm pretty sure that a failed pickpocketing attempt will make the whole town hostile. Wouldn't try that :) If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. for some reason using the acid glob on farmer, with no other monsters on sight, will not make the people unhappy with you. This applies to childs, goodwives dwarves etc. |

I did a few tests concerning pickpocketing in terinyo, I used about 15 lvl 1 trollish healers. For all tests pickpocketing skill was at 1.The results were pretty confusing. Any time I pickpocketed a child or goodwife, an alarm gong was rung, thus a hostile town. Pickpocketing farmers was much less consistant though. If I applied the skill as soon as I entered the town, meaning in the far upper left hand corner of the map, it was rare for any of the townsfolk to become hostile, usualy only those in the line of sight. The funny thing about this, is that after angering the farmers to hit me first, I could then lead them to any place in Terinyo and kill them freely. Even killing them in front of Rynt and the sheriff didn't bother anybody. Once I tried pickpocketing a farmer while in Rynt's hut, Rynt didn't become hostile, but upon leaving the hut the druid killed me. The only conclusion I can draw, is don't pickpocket in Terinyo, unless you realy know what your doing. Another funny thing regarding hostile terinyo folk. I just atempted to chop down a tree in the druids line of sight, he shouted at me to stop. When I chose not to stop, he became hostile, and began attaking me, he did not however leave the region of the water. No other townsfolk became hostile, even after I chose to kill him! wow, lol. this information would definitely help in the case of a terrinyo-destroying challenge. "If the bread weights that much in the draklor chain, then it's no wonder so many die of starvation.
