Does anybody knows why wishing for whips yearns only 1? My recently L7 dwarven ranger got a wish from a pool in the PCave and i thought of whips but then i wish for whips of slaughtering and it says *One* shall be enough! Does it only implies that whips can only be wish as one? Also, the mortal enemy of the Ancient karmics Wyrm will give immunity to shock and giant slug will give immunity to acid when eaten. So wat other creatures will give immunities to cold and fire when eaten? By the way, can one wish for a kirin as i am anxious to meet one but still no chance yet. IIRC you cant get fire or cold immunity from corpses. Wishing for Whips of the snake yields only one. I havent met kirin either.But you cant wish for im the last time I checked. THE MESSIAH,I'm here now,Worship me. |

You can wish for more than one whip, just as you can wish for more than one pair of boots, if you however want a whip of slaughtering or a pair of seven leage boots there is a limit. IIRC there are simmilar limits on swords of sharpness, phase daggers, whips of the snake, maces of destruction and other such items... Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |

By the time that ki-rins are able to load most PC's can take them down easily enough... watch out for death rays. When wishing for them "Ki-Rin" is what you wish for, "Kirin" won't work. They're non-hostile to lawfuls. Druids receive shock immunity at level 40 Weaponsmiths receive fire immunity at level 32 Crowning grants random immunity. It seems that if you have an immunity granted from an item, you won't get that immunity from crowning. However if you have immunity to all four elements (ring of immunity for example) you'll get a random immunity. And i get the feeling that if you've gotten immunity intrinsic from a corpse and all other immunity from items you won't re-get that immunity from crowning. DougyDougy - Dougy - DougyDougy |

Arrghhhh, guess wat. When i went back to try it[L50 dwarven fighter by the way], "SIGNAL 291 appeared"[#$%^&*!]. There goes my character again to this bug. O meh, this character was real "darn" lucky. Got a RODS in the pyramid, three wishes in the dark forge, 3 more RODS in the deep CoC and finally a Wand of Wishings[4 charges] in the BD Caves. I had earlier close the chaos gate and was about to try wishing for it and there goes my L50 dwarven fighter! i got tired of those bugs and signals (it's hard to think of anything nearly as frustrating as losing a char like that) and made two .bats in dos, one that backups and one that removes the .svg file. so if i die in a natural way i just immediately type remove char_name just to avoid the temptation... mYh34Df E3L5liK3aFRiSb3e |
