Hm, I've always wanted to create a roguelike, but I can't find a suitable tutorial.
I know enough C++ to find my way around, and I think that would be that language I'd want to use.
Suggestions?

Well from an ADOM perspective a good idea would be to check out QHack:

It's TB's guide on how to write a roguelike, done quite a few years ago. Has some basic (and some incomplete) code with dungeon generators, item interactions, PC movement etc. A pretty good start if you know some C++ already.
