So i killed sissy, got back up to sharad-ward or whatever, and he gave me no gift when i chatted. So, wheres needle? I did this quest after closing the gate and aquiring sting from the assasin princess, would that effect the reward?

Are you sure you talked to Sharod, to get
the quest, before making the kill?

bright side... It's not a mistake your
likely to make twice!

He's one of the highest exp giving monsters in the game. Can be difficult to kill, though dragon slaying ammo makes short work of him.

How was the fight with Barney? IIRC, he has thousands of hit points, can use three separate options each turn, and one of those options is a COMPLETE heal. It must be a hell of a battle.

*thousands* of hitpoints might be a bit too much. I mostly play archers, and it usually takes 2-3 arrows of dragon slaying to take down Barney (and about the same for Sharad Vaador)

Barney has 900+hp, Sharad Vader has 1000+ hp, so he's not THAT much tougher. 60 pv compared to Barney's 40, resists fire, acid, cold, shock and is karmic, so the only way to kill him is by arrows basically. That or a high level magic missile.
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

Barney>, i like sissy better, but im sure i'll get outvoted on that. Its funny, i crushed sissy (barney), then tried to take on vader, and i got crushed. Too much melee got me cursed and doomed or something but barney was my beeotch! By the way what is iirc?

IIRC is an abbreviation for "I.f I. R.ecall C.orrectly" pretty much meaning that you think you remember but aren't 100% sure.

I got myself nearly killed by vader once, too: My 6 dragon-killer-arrows shall be enough - oops missed, damn again. Magic time: oh right - he is immune it (forgot magic missile). Nah, I will just finish him off easily with old slaying wyrmlance (with my wizard!) - who cares about dooming! Nooooooo - a whole screen of good equipment burnt away. Aargh - another critical taken.
He finally fell after some near deaths and all potions of extra healing wasted. Stupid (but still lucky)...

Okay, I had enough dragon slaying ammo the one time I exed him. But I'll be warned not to try without...

Sharad Vadoor can be taken out in one turn if you have decent mp, a wand of far slaying and an AoLS. Put on the AoLS, stand next to him and zap the wand and put all your mana to it. You will most likely kill yourself too, but since it all happens in just one turn and you have an AoLS you'll be ok.

Are you sure you won't get revived BEFORE all bouncings are over - maybe it could kill you multiple times?

I'm sure, I've done this with success, you get resurrected at the end of the turn.

It was using this method that Eternium Man was first completed. An interesting way to go kamikaze, to be sure.
