So i'm diving further and further into the CoC with my Gray Elven Wizard, and I make it all the way to CoC: 46 where i find a Greater Vault, full of fire lizards, baby red dragons, fire drakes, ancient red dragons, and named dragons. Half of the equipment that gets dropped from the really powerful dragons is getting destroyed by their breath, but.... I WENT FROM EXP LEVEL 27-30 (not sure) TO EXP LEVEL 50, AND IM NOT EVEN DONE...holy god...i can't wait to see what survived the carnage also... Going for 2nd win |

Generated 3 artifacts: Bracers of War (OH YEA), Staff of the Archmagi (meh), and the battle axe "Executor" (again, meh). Still, amazing. Going for 2nd win |

EXECUTOR MEH?!?! God damn man, that's the best weapon in the game! (well, I think it is - not that good for wizards admittedly) Well done anyway - greater vaults are a lot of fun to clear, and worth a lot of xp usually. Annoying about the equipment destruction - only way to stop it is to try and zap magic missiles from outside their lines of site. Charging in with ice ball is much more fun though. Oh yea, and it isn't like i really needed it anyways (unless they were RoDS and WoWi being destroyed, cuz i didn't find one). As it is, I'm happy with it all anyways...and apparently i have another vault on D:47. EDIT: i guess executor is very useful because it is humanoid slaying and demon slaying. For melee fighters, there is another way to stop item destruction. It takes many more turns than magic, but it still works. Just lure them through a tunnel, and stand in this position. In my experience, the dragons will not pick up items, as long as you are standing right next to them. Victory seems around the corner. EDIT: Executor has many great properties, but it's main one, as far as I'm concerned, is the fact that it's a one-hander.
