Could someone please give me an idea of the kind of items that can be destroyed by being on the air temple level? For instance would red dragon scale, 7LBs, crystal tower shield, GoGs, bracers of resistance, non-artifact missile weapons, general contents of back pack be vulnerable? Cheers, Pete |

Dragon scale mails, no (adamantium). Seven leagues, yes. Crystal tower shield, no (crystal). GoGs, yes. Bracers of resistance, unsure (iron). Non-artifact missile weapons bows (wood) definitely yes, crossbows (iron?) not sure. All non-iron contents of the backpack that are vulnerable to fire are also vulnerable to the electric damage in the Air Temple, without any kind of protection provided by fireproof blankets (Making them themselves vulnerable). I'm not sure if items made of iron survive the Air Temple, which is why I won't make a final verdict on bracers of resistance and quarrels and crossbows. You drop the golden ball. I have worn bracers of resistance in the air temple many times, and have never had them destroyed. My theory is, that an item that grants resistance to an element, can not be destroyed by that element: Rings of fire resistance are definitely not made of a higher metal, but do not burn, 'red' weapons (even iron ones) will not burn, crowns of fire (iron) will not burn, and I have never had a 'yellow' weapon (iron) be destroyed by lightning attacks, even in the BDC. Remember that the Water Orb is a non-destructable source of emergency healing, and darkness can really help limit the corrupting melee attacks. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |
