Yergius, that handsome devil, won't teach me how to pick pockets. What's wrong?

I'm a lvl 23 dwarf at CN. Been L+ until recently due to old crones. When I chat with him he says: "Me thinks that ye need some more practice before ye can become a honorable member of our famous thieves guild". Nothing more.

You stole something from a shop.

An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

Before pickpocketing anything that is.

If you rob more items from shops, eventually you should be able to get the training. It's kinda harder than pickpocket training though

That was not pleasant news. When on earth did I rob a shop? Perplexing.

Also, I got his quest in the quest list (which does not happen when he tells me to pick pockets). Awesome.

You were invisible, picked up an item and the shopkeeper did not notice.
That's enough for Yergius to consider you a thief, not needing any training in the art of stealing.
