If i quote the guidebook : "there is a garanteed wand of teleport on the level" since i need one for getting the SoCR i would gladly get it. I went there, zaped a wand of item detection to rush for it and i got that message : "you sence the absence of items" :( .I remember each time i went there, there was the wand, but not this time. could a monster picked it preventing the detection? So i should zap monster detect stuff maybe?

Unfortunately, a monster can be generated on
the wand. It's really frustrating if the monster
is an animal, and can't pick the wand up. You
can spend turn after turn, trying to teleport to
the location that you *thought* the wand was at,
only to be redirected again and again and again...

I think your best bet is a scroll of magic
mapping, if you have one. It doesn't have to be
blessed, uncursed is fine. Crystal of knowledge
might work, but Iv'e never tried that.

Thanks a lot for the magic maping hint. A hill orc spawned on it and took it making item detection useless. Im now to go get my SoCR :D

Using wand of monster detection was simply unstylish, right?
