While playing my last game, I had and odd dilemma right before fighting Andy.
During that game, I`ve found both Nature's Companion and robes of resistance and I couldn`t decide which one I should wear. That dilemma made me wonder
Which of the following do you prefer to have giving that fact that you can only have one:

1. Nature's Companion\robes of resistance
2. Skullcrusher\ Purifier
3. Sun's Messenger\Far Slayer
4. Executor\ rune-covered trident
5. Cloak of Oman\ Brannalbin's Cloak
6. BoW\RotMC

Well it depends on the other equipment you're wearing but....if i didn't have any of the intristics/stats from other gear....

1)Companion for melee/archer character, Robes for casters
2) Purifier easily. I hate Skullcrusher. That thing is horrible.
3)hmmm never had Sun's Messenger but i think i'd rather it over Far Slayer.
4)Tough one...probably trident. They are both nice tho.
5)Brannalbin's if i didn't have a means of invis...Oman if i did.
6)LoL these 2 are both absurdly good. But i can never take anything over BoW. BoW are beyond sexy.

1. Nature's Companion.
2. Skullcrusher. Humanoids must die.
3. Far Slayer, just because. Crossbows are fun.
4. Executor
5. Oman.
6. Braces of War.

1. Depends on situation... For the Tower NC is great, and the speed boost is handy against Andy. Overall I can never get enough Toughness though, so I guess I'd choose RoR.
2. Happy with either, though Purifier gets an edge because it's the only 1-handed construct slayer. True, most golems are humanoid, but elementals can be tough nuts to crack. Demon-slaying is handy for grues too.
3. I've never had Sun's Messenger, but the stats on it are slightly worse than Far Slayer. Undead slaying isn't much use when you're using blessed undead slaying ammo already. I also tend to find more slaying quarrels than arrows in my games.
4. EXECUTOR! No doubt about it. One-handed, humanoid slaying, some handy resistances, and cursing actually makes it more fun.
5. Early on Branalbin, for the resistances and invis. Later on... well the invis is still nice, but Oman has better stats and the Dex bonus is too tasty to miss.
6. Bracers of War. They won't blow up on me if I kill a cat. Ignoring that the regen is nice, especially early on, and they take up a slot otherwise often empty.

1. Nature's companion (i'm speed maniac)
2. Skullcrusher
3. Sun's messenger (just to test it out)
4. Executor (that is not even close on hand humanoid slayer vs stupid polearm)
5.Oman, but really depends on char
6. Bracers of war. You can have some options in ring department, but for bracer slot there is only one decent choice

1. Most often probably robes. Toughness
2. Skullcrusher.
3. Sun's messenger. I guess. Never seen it...
4. Executor.
5. Never used either, I think.
6. BoW.

1. Nature's Companion - Not for the immunities, because universal resistances are almost as good, but for the speed. Speed is awesome.
2. Skullcrusher - Make short work of humanoids
3. Far Slayer - Crossbows do more Xtreme damage
4. Executor - rune-covered trident doesn't let me wear a shield
5. Cloak of Oman, though I've never gotten either, I'd not want to get an artifact only to not be able to wear it all the time because of food problems
6. Bracers of War, because I love regeneration and they are just that sexy

1. Natures companion - the speed
2. Purifyer - ud + demon slaying help a lot, but I'd probably not use any of them anyway.
3. Suns messenger - I generally find more slaying arrows than slaying quarrels, + the demon slaying treat ofc.
4. Executor - Like the trident but one handed and critical hit.
5. Cloak of Oman - I'm almost never invisible.
6. Bracers of War - Tough call, but on most chars this is more useful for surviving.

Sun's Messenger slays Undead, not Demons. Sadly, that makes a huge difference, as powerful undead are much rarer than powerful demons, save for undead greater vaults of course.

1. Nature's Companion. Speed > PV & To.
2. Skullcrusher. Humanoids > Constructs.
3. Depends on circumstances (ammo found etc.). Not much of a difference between these two.
4. Executor vs TotRR would be a closer match-up...
5. Hard one. Depends on circumstances I guess (like corruptions, having teleport control, amount of food etc.), but I lean towards Brannalbin.
6. Both! but failing that, Bracers.

rune covered trident - train thrown spears, awesome for archers. same as hammer of the gods. be very careful when using it in the infinite dungeon though.

never had either cloakk.

BoW i guess, i'd rather get the exp from the cat lord.
