Nah ha, this cave is a fun little cave! I am a L50 dwarven weaponsmith killing creatures there, and to look at extremely creatures damage per hit. Well, i had saved this character for expermenting though. Guess the second experiment, just kinda of darn. A quickling queen came, i couldn't manage to kill her, then i look for her. Wat the f***, next a quickling king came, this one was hell meh, four hits and i was off. Guess extremely quicklings are not fun after all. From 926 hits pts to -153 hits pts. Dougy, or anybody else doing experiment in the SMC at L50? I was playing gray elven wizard and trying to get my PC to exp. level50 before the casino so I could get lots of post/precrownings. Summon Monsters spell helped very much and I was on L47-L49 when I cast Summon Monsters. Suddenly I was surrounded by quickling queens. I don't know if they were extremely experienced but they hit me for something that seemed like eternity. One hit took about 100 hp from me I guess but they missed a lot because I had DV over 120. I've also had a doppelganger king scoring instant kill against me in SMC. They hit for something like 200 dmg when they aren't experienced at all. This bastard was extremely experienced and one critical hit later my HP had dropped a lot(can't remember exactly how much but I am talking about instant kill against L50 PC). Very fun cave indeed. Good place to level up fast with spellcasters. And easy way for archers to gain Grand Mastery in any missile weapon skill. "Cruel Akron, bloody bastard I now spit on you. There's not really much excitement coming from the SMC. Any non-cheating person would keep their charactor as far away from there as possible. However you can wish for ancient karmic wyrms in there and death ray them for lots of exp and eq. With a low speed and high learning wishing for one in there can give upwards of about 15 million xp, which in turn will give about 2 million points on the total score. Also note that the AKW gets a round in it's not instadeath, it'll prolly only do about 300-400 damage. far far safer then wishing for emperor molochs... more xp, and you get eq too. I've never had much problems with wishing emperor moloch... couple good places for doing that is the dwarven city and that fortress-like village... both of them has places where you can always teleport to heal yourself and regain your PP... but you're in deep shit if couple of the emperor molochs borns to those little-safe-rooms... And of course, Greater molochs adjusts to power, so slow speed is nice... and high learning, of course. I just had a PC get from level 1 to level 50 killing just 2 AKWs, (used BotSS, slow monster, scrolls of danger) Testing it out with a troll barbarian, which requires more experiance then any other class/race, it's almost a guaranteed 4-5 levels (no matter what level the PC is) with speed about 60 and le about 10. This could probably be bettered by an advanced char with higher learning and the slow monster spell. This method seems far more safe, takes less time and is far more profitable. You even get a handfull of loot at the end. (whoever uses moloch armor anyway?). I might be trying this method in future adoms where i got a somewhat early wish (~lev 30), death ray, and slow monster. DougyDougy - Dougy - DougyDougy |
