I love the idea of the head hunter challenge, but just never managed to find the patience to play a bard with pet... much better to read about it instead :)

The whole ogre cave thing seems like a bit of a bugger...

With Moloch's victory, that brings our combined
win % for this RCC all the way up to... like...
1% right?

At least the RNG didn't skunk us though, good job
old boy : )

Try starting out with that much PV.
Started 6 dwarven paladins just now.
Starting PV: 13, 10, 10, 12, 11, 12.

With healing and detect traps at the start, it is hard to die early on, and later we all know how to become invincible. Or invisible.

gut:
that is normal. All RCC I saw had 1-2 winning chars.
Do not recall three guys posting victories.

Molach:
Congrats with a win:)
I always said any dwarf with starting concentration is good. Just need to win with one of these myself:)

Molach: what was your equipment? I'm very curious what you were using.

Congrats Molach! (just noticed the server's up) Dwarven paladins are friggin' awesome if you keep their armour intact, and it looks like you had some nice luck with added PV items early on. You end up using spells much on the side?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total weight: 4023 stones Carrying capacity: 5032 stones

Missiles : uncursed adamantium quarrel (+1, 2d6+6) [1s]
Tool : -

Not very impressive, actually. I did not smith any more after ToEF. Used some "uncursed mithril boots [+5, +2]" for D:50, only used the 7lbs to get out fast-ish. Thats why I never blessed them. The eternium plate was found late, and only improved with scrolls of defense. So starting equipment took me thru UD and HMV and the early game, then I smithed up for ToHK and ToEF. Only mithril and AMW used then. Safe, boring and easy. But that is that.

I ended up using spells, particularily frost bolt on a dragon vault and actually lightning bolt on D:50 (chaos masses and ghosts mostly) But they were not needed, and training Le and improving Conc was not really needed. Just another safety thing.
