What is the danger level for the amulet of ass saving if i wanted to use a potion of exchange on a heap of brass amulets

Indeed, you have a much better chance dipping large stacks of rings on D8. AoLS is much rarer.
Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse."

At the time i had more amulets than rings to spare, and two !oEX. I Tried ring dipping and ended up w/ 3 RoDoom, i have never been able to get RoDS. Am still curious about AoLS danger level if anyone knows

They're indeed danger level 2. You can pickpocket them anywhere.
There are just a lot more amulets on danger level 1 and 2.
BTW - Sapphere Amulet 'Preserver' is danger level 5.
Just a few amulets are higher then that.
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

Maybe its time i look at a list of all items and their danger levels. Is there such a list like that out there?

This has danger level of monsters and items, and some other stuff. Areas' DL can be found in one of the GBs.

You can also use raw chaos instead, though your odds of pulling an AoLS are awful - about 1%. You can safely dip the following on DL2: balance, free action, health, hunger, luck, chaos, order, speed, teleport control, cold heart, water breathing, silver tongue, and mana.

If instead you opt you go the Exchange route (generally not adviseable, since rings are stackable are will give better odds) go with only Light, Greed, Perseverance, Rabies Resistance, or Rapid Healing for best odds (still on DL2).
