I just encountered Creothades, the Greater Black Wyrm, in the I:42 level. I thought that was odd, since generally the ID will never generate anything more unique than rivers of special rooms. For a moment I thought I was up against an artifact guardian, but I didn't get the "surge of power" message and the monster wasn't guarding anything either. What's up with that - does the ID occasionally generate named monsters just for the hell of it? Move the cursor to the desired position and press [SPACE] when done. Impossible. Suddenly you stand elsewhere. You see an ancient altar of black obsidian. The goblin rockthrower suddenly shouts a prayer to his gods! You are consumed by a roaring column of flame! |

if i'm not mistaken, great colored wyrms are always named. Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Suddenly a stone block hits your head! Something on the ground is smashed to pieces! PeanutGod: Awwww no! How harsh is that! This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'. |
