Does anyone else find the animated forest as hard as I do? Both of the characters that I got there died. One was probably preventable, as he didn't realise he was on beserk until he was surrounded by trees and at 1 hp, but the other one got next to the stairs, which had a hostile tree on them and died meleeing them. Farthest I've gotten is animated forest. |

I tend to use invisibility and teleporting to get through the forest. Otherwise it helps to have high speed and wear two shields - try to rush through the gaps and don't attack anything unless you get surrounded by hostile trees. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

Invisiblity is probably best if you can't teleport. Try to get teleport and teleport control (easy to get). Use a wand of door creation and create doors around the up/down stairs. The trees won't open the doors. Once you have the doors (and teleport) the level is much easier. ;) |
