As a extra thought, i think it would be COOL if they were usable to power weapons, ala Diablo... |

They can't power weapons, however there are some magical gems out there... Crystals of fire can be 'U'sed to invoke a fireball around the player. They can also be thrown at nearby enemies much like a improved fireball spell. There are also crystalls of power that will recharge your PP when used, crystals of knowledge that work like a limited "magic mapping" spell (and boost your learning if blessed), crystals of darkness cast the darkness spell when used, and crystals of health will heal you (there might be a few others but I they slip my mind at the moment). Topazes, Diamons, Emeralds and so forth are just worth a bit of money and piece of worthless glass is just... well useless. Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |

How about using pieces of glass as sling shots ? With whirlwind and decent sling skill they probably would do decent damage... |

Well they might do a little dammage, but you are overall better off just using rocks or sling bullets. You rarely get a large enough stack of glass pieces to make them perticulary usefull as amo. But hey, in a pinch just about anything can be thrown at monsters for a slight tactical advantage... Even if it won't kill them they might waste a turn picking up the stuff you throw at them giving you time to run away or throw some more stuff at them (though the time it takes to "reload" might negate the last option in most cases).
