The going was so tough through the forest, and there were so many hostile trees, 
that on the way back he decided in desperation to quaff an unidentified potion of 
invisibility. Unfortunately, he was not prepared for the backfired effect (it was 
obviously cursed), and had already used up all of his deitys generosity, so he was 
practically helpless as he stood there in blindness, being beaten to a pulp by the 
vicious hostile animated trees.
