By trollish standards, Ayukawa Madoka was an ugly girl with a bad
attitude. She was tall, lithe, and had long limbs and a tiny crown
of horns adorning her head. She stubbornly refused to take part in
raids and pillaging, prefering to play with herbs and potions
instead. Her well meaning parents encouraged her to loot, plunder,
and murder, but their efforts only serverd to further alienate her
from trollish society. Unable to tolerate the evil nature of her
people she knew she had to leave. Though but a child she steathily
left her tribe and set off into the world. To satisfy her longing
for spiritual purity, she delved into the mysteries of music and
became a bard. Her wanderings led her to the Drakalor chain where
she in time became a Paragon of Virtue, defeated a demigod of
discord, and ascended as an Avatar of Order.

This game started out as a "collect all artifacts" challenge, then
it developed into a "get the platinum girdle and do an ultra ending"
game, and finally ended up being an illiterate ultra platinum finish.
She started in the SMC, got the blanket, went down to UD1, found a
pool, and got a wish for SLBs. Early game exploration yielded 4 more
pools, 3 shops (ring, wand, general) 2 herb levels, and no chaotic
alters. Notable early equipment included a short sword of penetration
and an adamantium large shield.
A \WoDestruction found in the NDC allowed her to kick-rob all
the shops and buy keys from the cloaked ratling. With ID and herb
scumming she got enough HP to get overflow piety (ID door method)
and drained pools for 2 more wishes (=RoInvis and !PoEx) and +TC.
With Invis, she dove into the ID, found a pickaxe dropped by a
a dwarven chaos knight, mined for *CoDark, went to ToEF 4, and
prayed for more pickaxes.
Much ID scumming + alchemy yielded enough !PoEx to jumpstart a
ring wish engine.
Wished for a greater titan to enter pyramid < Clvl 17 for 4 precrowns
Got trained in Scare Monster, Slow Monster, and double trained in
Teleport from lvl 18 bard class power.
(This is the 1st time I've seen this)
Wished for 9 Ancient Karmic Wyrms to get to lvl 50 in the MM and
got 9 more precrownings.
She got the AoME, RotHK, phial, CoS, fire orb, torc, and !PoLit. She
fed the rat, did the portal quest, saved Khelly, got the ancient
scythe, got the water, air, and earth orbs, kick-robbed the casino,
got the =RoMC, dove to, D48 clearing the air, fire, and earth
anomolies. She killed Barney, got the mana orb, and cleared a greater
vault of fire creatures, finally leaving the CoC via the DF split.
In the HMV she gave the old woman a giant boar skull and !PoCC, then
led her to the NDC. She got the Filk quest and slew the Assassin
Prince for Sting. She found Filk in ID 20 and killed him.
While waiting for darknight, she started playing around with her
wish engine. She maxed her stats save for toughness. She wished
for grand mastery in all weapon classes. She played with smithing
and made some nice items. She spent alot of time gaining xp. She
cleared the area around the downstairs of the SMC with her \WoD
and surrounded herself with monsters created from UD:1. She wished
for EM in the SMC and while invisible, lured GMs individually to
UD:1 where she killed them at spd 10. She set up many teleport
traps to safely dispose of them at a distance. Had she the power of
the Farsight spell, her trap would be even more effective. She threw
!PoBoostSpeed at less experienced GMs to increase the amount of xp
gained. Eventually, the GMs got too dangerous for her so she left,
wished her speed to 600, killed the EM, and got the TotRR and crown
To get to L+ she drained her To to 17 with cursed !PoToughness, put
on 2 rings of doom and all her -PV equipment, and engaged in
self-flaggellation with a whip of slaughtering. A session of overflow
prayer got her enough piety to be crowned Champion of Law.
Before setting off for the final dive she finished off the dwarven
quests, picking up the Rolf set and Big Punch. She made a tiny girl
happy, killed a raider lord, fufulled the wishes of a greater white
unicorn, and was made head of the thieves guild.
The trickiest part of the game is luring the old woman to D48. She,
like the healer, will never leave a room of their own will. The easy
method of luring her is to order a companion to attack her,teleport
the companion away, lead the companion to the stairs, and wait for
her to arrive. It helps to use \WoDig to make a path to the stairs.
The temples and catlord levels disallow teleportation, so a passage
of locked doors must be made from staircase to staircase.
I had to restore from backup twice while luring her due to a fatal
crash that occurs whenever she steps into a trap. This is solved
by disarming all traps (especially in DF).
Another problem is that she is both fast and strong and usually
kills most companions that aren't powerful enough to kill her
with one attack, The solution is to be fast and have a fast companion
the best choice being a giant boar. Unfortunately, she'll often cast
confusion on it, rendering it useless for the next level. I had to
wish for many giant boars, sometimes several per level, to get her
down to D48.
That done, she cleared the rest of the anomolies, got emerald
dagger for uselessness, went to D50 and got the Platinum Girdle.
After locking off the center room she cleared both levers. She closed
the gate, teleported away, teleported back, killed whatever opened
the gate, and repeat until all balors and Fisty were killed. With the
gate closed, she finished off the rest of the creatures.
At last she opened the gate, went up to D48, satisfied the old woman,
put on the crown, medal, and trident, entered the gate, killed
Andor Darkon, and become the first(?) Avatar of Order without the
ability to read. ^_^
