It was at this point that I realized just how heavy gold can be (especially
for a monk).  The karmic wyrm was just randomly generated.

>Close calls: On the second level of the TOEF a neutral altar was generated,
but because of the redness it looked lawful.  I tried to sac a fire demon
on it, and all my stuff was cursed.  Still thinking it was a lawful and
believing that gods didn't like saccing of orb guardian gaurdians (or
whatever the're called) I tried to amend for my sins by offering gold.
This promply converted the altar and I was able to bless a scroll of
uncursing, etc.  Unfortunately my one fireproof blanket burned up in the
process.  Thank Corellius for rings of ice.

In the water dragon cave a giant dragon turtle breathed water at me and took
me from about 300 hp to about 10.  Ouch.  I was pissed so I went up, healed,
went back down and killed it anyway.
