Blessed Satiated Berserk

This game wasn't easy at all, mostly because all my good luck seemed to
concentrate on the early game and none appeared to be left for the end.
A very long story follows. 

First kill was beggar as usual and then I headed towards SMC. Met Kranach 
on the way and managed to kill him with a couple of frost bolts. Didn't
even gain a level which was just perfect for SMC. Found the blanket easily
and formed an educated guess about the location of the stairs down. Somewhere
on the floor I also found an adamantium 2-H sword.

Next I went to do the carpenter quest. Somewhere in VD I was blessed with
a dagger of devastation and a decent shield so I switched to those. There was
an altar on VD:4 which I used to change alignment to neutral and later to get 
the two precrownings. After rescuing the carpenter I went to retrieve the
puppy corpse. Nothing special at all happened there. Kept pick pocketing some
more until I was able to join the thieves guild and learned Detect traps. 

Next up was a quick breeze through UD, then down to big room in CoC. Had
only found the one altar in VD, so I headed back there to sack some. Changed
the altar and my own alignment to chaotic first. Monster generation was a bit
slower than I expected but eventually I did get two precrownings. Nothing 
particularly fancy though, Whirlwind as the first gift and Long Sting as 
the second one.

Back to CoC and descended to dwarftown, where I got a quest to kill a green
slime. Hung around in the big room for quite some time but none were there
to be found. Lots of herbs though. Eventually I hit level 16 and still no
green slimes, so I had to do the pyramid without fireballs. Acid balls
worked almost as well though. While I was around there I also took care of
Nonnak before heading back to big room for more slime hunting. 

Eventually a slime showed up and I quickly did the rest of the dwarven quests.
All the steel golems in Darkforge died to Big Punch and among the loot there
was Executor which happens to be one of my favourite weapons. Then I went to
get the Phial of Galadriel and Ring of the High Kings, after which I thought
I'd do ToEF.

However, as I only had one fireproof blanket, I decided to get the wand of
teleportation first and charge it a bit. With fairly little trouble I made
it to the top level of the tower. There, after about 10 moves my blanket
decided to burn up. Used the wand to teleport out and only lost a few
scrolls and potions in the process. Then I dumped all my stuff at the
barbarian's and went back. Some mystic shovel, invisibility, frost bolt 
and acid ball at the top level was enough, although I was pretty close to
running out of HP but cure light wounds helped with that problem. 

Next I descended all the way to Khel in search for the Scythe of Corruption
but it wasn't generated until later. Didn't have an AoLS either, so I went 
back up and fed the ratling. Then I went to HMV to talk to the crone. I 
also slaughtered and ate the oracle to aid in the search for the giant boar. 
Didn't have to look for long, third boar left a skull. Then I changed 
alignment to neutral and talked with dwarven mystic (no SoCRs though) and 
after that changed to lawful on an altar I had found in the assassin's guild

Still needing the amulet, I emptied some 10 pools before getting a wish.
I was fairly lucky while doing that, only got doomed three times and didn't
lose anything important. Being already past the 90 day limit I was a bit 
worried about corruption especially since I didn't have SLB yet.

Descend to the casino was fairly quick and eventless. Water temple was even 
easier than usually with all the nice spells. Bought Wyrmlance, SLB and 
some miscellaneous stuff for a total of 2.7 millions. Popped back to the 
surface through the shortcut to study some spellbooks and to leave all the
valuable scrolls to the old barbarian's hut before going further down.

Then back towards the bottom. Made it to the cat lord with no cats killed, 
skipped air temple and cleared earth temple. Unusual three greater vaults
on the way too, first giant vault at D:34, undead vault at D:40 and another
giant vault at D:46. Decided to leave the undead vault alone because I had
so few power points and also didn't pay much attention to the loot from the
giant vaults. Probably picked up Thunderstroke and the Crown of the

Went after the Mana Orb first. Acid ball was really useful once again
and I got away with the orb fairly easily. Then I went to the dragons'
lair, wearing a cloak of invisibility to attract a little less attention.
Some magic missiles here and there and Wyrmlance for the rest and the
bottom level was clear. 

Started going back up and having gained some more hit and power points I 
decided to give the undead vault a try. Used lots of acid balls and 
improved fireballs without paying any attention to stuff lying around.
Forgot to switch away the Wyrmlance and the low DV cost me a bunch of
equipment including my only pair of SLB when one of the emperor liches 
summoned some ancient black dragons. Eventually I managed to kill all 
the 11 emperor liches but only found Soaker. There might have been others 
as I missed a few artifacts, but nothing important. 

On my way up I also stopped at the air temple to get the last orb. Then
I headed back to Terinyo to get the unicorn quest and a corpse of a farmer.
I was still missing a scroll of danger though. Also the 120th day and thus 
a darknight was approaching quickly so I headed to the stone circle. 
I was, however, unfortunate enough to miss the moment. There's only one 
hour to enter the circle, just before midnight and it takes around 70 
minutes per move there without SLB. When I realized I'm going to miss it, 
there seemed to be nothing to do any more. 

So back to other tasks. First I went to see the assassin prince first, then
headed to the ID and killed Filk on I:3. After visiting mad minstrel I 
got the SoCRs from the Bug Temple. Then it was time for the Emperor Moloch.
I was a bit scared because my speed wasn't particularly good and of course
still no SLB. Two acid balls and 5 hits with a blessed phase dagger was
enough for him though and I took the crumpled scroll to Khel. 

Still missing the scroll of danger and still some time before the next 
darknight I decided to go back to the BDC. Library would have been a choice
but my climbing sucked and being lawful I couldn't train with the master
thief. Luckily already after some 10 dragons I found an unknown scroll 
which turned out to be a scroll of danger. So it was time to get back to 
the surface once again. While teleporting back up I made a little typo
while casting teleportation. As the result I cast Wish instead, for the
cost of 5990PP and died of course. Thanks to Necromancers' level 50 class 
power I didn't actually die, but only lost half of toughness and lots of
hit points. I was left with only 270 HP but wasn't too worried about it. 
More worrying was the corruption situation, I already had 9 of them. 

I took the scroll to the crone and after getting the Medal and leaving
it to the old barbarian's I headed back to the stone circle. This time I
even managed to get in and promptly killed Keriax with a wand of death I
had picked up somewhere. Scroll of dark predictions told I was 52% 
corrupted and the corpse is supposed to corrupt some 45% but I still 
decided to avoid risks and drank one PoCC before eating the corpse. Then
I read a few SoCRs to clean the stiff muscles corruption.

One last thing to do before going back down again was the black unicorn
quest. This time the reward was 6 PoGAs. My alignment was also 
conveniently dropped down to C-. Crowned myself by saccing some casino
money and got Preserver as the gift. Forgot to get the uselessness gift
while going down.

At D:50 I went invisible and used acid ball to kill the majority of the
baddies which left me with somewhat bad pole-arm skill. Then I wrote some
SoCRs with my 4 writing sets, blessed and drank all the boosting potions
and entered the gate. Speed was really low, only ~130 after removing some
corruptions which let Andy drain my stats quite a bit. I was afraid
I'd get corrupted badly because of the low speed but in the end I still had
15 scrolls left. 

Overall this was my 15th ultra ending and definitely one of the harder
ones. Necromancers are a powerful class though, my own mistakes and 
the lack of certain useful equipment like potions of boost speed or 
SLBs made things a little more complicated. Somehow I also managed to
spend way too much time in the early game which made me constantly worry
about corruptions. Still got 6 classes left in my quest for UCGs, namely
assassin, merchant, druid, thief, bard and archer.
