Yes, my first ultra-ending ever. Actually first time i even tried, so i guess
i got damn lucky. I had just finished the game for the first time and decided
to check what kind of skillset do dwarven rangers get. The first char i created
had nice stats so i thought i'd give him a try. Someone had left a nice crystal
shield into the SMC for me to find, and with that and an adamantium spear the 
beginning was pretty easy. Made the first kill in the outlaw village to keep 
the options open. Then i reached the dwarftown and fetched Rolf's Companion
from the mystic. My first quest was kinda icky, a giant slug. Found one around
lvl 30 a lot later. So i did the pyramid and the graveyard, then got the RotHK
and visited DF and ToEF. At this point i was thinking i might just be able to 
shut the gate if everything went smoothly. 

Then i started descending in the CoC and a pool gave me a wish a little before 
i met Khel. With that AoLS i finally decided that this character is going for 
_ULE_. So i went for the Needle (or is it Sting, i dont remember which one).
At D:45 there was a huge red dragon vault, where i found a RoDS and a WoWi. 
At D:46 a lonely ancient black dragon dropped another WoWi. So suddenly i had 
almost 10 wishes and things started looking really nice. I wasn't quite 
powerful enough for the dragon caves and had hard time there fearing for my 
wands and SoCRs which i accidentally had in my bag too. Luckily there was an 
altar on the second last level near the down staircase and i actually 
sacrificed some named wyrms there along the dragons. The purple one wouldn't 
step on the altar though, so i actually had to kill something too. 

Then i ran back up and paid the assassin prince a visit. Killed him for the 
dagger and noticed that the Sting & Needle combination really kicks ass. Then 
i went to ID to see Filk and of course got myself cursed and doomed before i 
understood i cant even hit him. Luckily i had only killed one beggar so the 
nearest altar wasn't too far away. So i climb out of ID and get a message 
saying "Filk the quickling bard wants to join your company." I was more than 
amazed :) Well, i left him at the minstrels hut, although i really thought i 
killed him. Back to ID, found the Sceptre, got lots of corruption and lost one 
AoLS when a GM hit me for 583 points of damage. 

Back up and to the EM. He was a piece of cake, but then i almost lost another
AoLS to a doppleganger king on SC:5. Managed to teleport away at the last
second. Having the scroll i went to see Khel in Terinyo. He summoned the TotRR 
before turning hostile for some reason kinda unclear to me. A cruel incident 
involving Unholy Aura, Munxip and angry citizens here resulted in almost
empty village. None of the farmers survived. I was a little upset after this, 
and got even more so when i realized there was no farmers in HMV either. I 
was short of the other stuff needed there too, and had to spend 3 wishes to
get the medal as i didn't feel like wandering around looking for scrolls and
wands. Talked with the mutated one and learned the way to find the Crown too.
I had some 15 days to wait for the darknight, and i spend most of it trying to
figure out how to get back to N or L from the C- i had gotten for slaying 
a couple of white unicorns. And i couldn't. So this is when i decided to go
for the UCG-ending. Entered the circle then, and learned that Keriax's breath
is something to avoid and that he also drains stats quite a bit. 

Well, i only got 4 corruptions and having some 6 wishes and some SoCRs and 
PoCCs it looked good. So i dived down to CoC and got crowned chaotic around 
D:45... with the silvery arrow "True Aim"! At least my god was smart enough to 
give me a bow too, but i still never even thought about using it. At D:50 i 
just slayed everything, and needed only a couple of scrolls and potions to keep
me alive. Then i wished for loads of SoCRs, blessed and drank all my potions of
boosting and spent the last wish for "speed", giving me a speed score of over 

This last part was partly easy because i had watched one UCG demo a few weeks 
ago. Through the gate, switched some gear, read the SoCRs bringing me actually 
down to ~20% corruption. Then i located Andy, teleported to him and started 
killing him. Although i lost little stats everything was looking great as i got
him down to critical wounds pretty soon. And then i got paralyzed... *argh*. I
already gave up all the hope and pressed the enter and teleported little here
and there with my astral plane corruption. After a long time i finally died... 
except that i had an AoLS hanging around my neck and i woke up with full HP and
the paralyzation was gone. A brief glimpse on the corruption page revealed
all but one corruption. Speak about a last minute save :) Another glimpse 
reveals Andy standing there beside me and still critically wounded. Two or
three strikes with TotRR finished him off at last making me the new Andy :)
