Gobtwacher hit the puppy level of the dangerous cave just as he reached experience level 5. Knowing that the puppy now was generated alive, he hurried back up and encountered the raider lord & co shortly after reaching the surface. After having collected the reward he dived down in the dangerous cave again, and managed to find and birng back the little girls puppy too. He then proceded to the village dungeon where he sacrificed a lot of monsters (thanks to a wand of monster creation and a few pooze portions), and most of his non esential equipment (at this stage even stones where acceptable sacrifices ;)), after becoming extremely close to his god he said a quick prayer and found Whirlwind lying at his feet. On level 4 of the village dungeon he found a kobold pit, wich despite him not having food preservation left him with 5 kobold shaman corpses. Eating these and then have the healer imedeately heal him again he increased is mana stat by 5 points... Not a weaponsmith's prmary stat maybe, but it doesn't hurt. Saving the carpenter went without much incident. He then went back to the SMC and set course for the high mountain village, finding a forge on the way (I susaly do in that cave), he dropped off tonnes of metalic equipment my the forge to be melted down later. At this point food was becoming a problem, so after releaving some of his burden in the local shop and delivering some sharp justice to the menevolent docor, and the ocupants of the local jail he set course to the CoC, after diving as fast as he could he finaly managed to reach the famed arena, where he stocked up on cooked lizards and fried bats. The ratling rebel acuded me of stealing his ideas then I handed him back his pamphlet, and said he didn't like my patronacing attitude. After a few failed attempts to calm the creature I finaly had to give the furious rodent a taste of cold eternium. Leaving the championchip fight for later, I continued downward, completed all the dwarven quests and sorted out my equipment. I then headed back to the surface to do the graveyard quest, wich was quite easy at this point. I had no sorce of invisibiliry, no slaying amy of any kind and no death ray resistnce, so I descided not to risk desturming any of the "great treasure" graves for the moment. After a brief stop in the otlaw village where I killed off everyone save the shopkeeper, and a trip to Trenjo to pick up the law skill and the amulet of order, and a brief mining expedition to the ID. I headed back to the forge and started melting down stuff and improving my metal equipment. Then I raided darkforge, finding the robes of resistance in the armor department. I then headed back to the forge (didn't risk using the darkforge ones) and improved my quipment further. Then I returned to darkforge to drink from the pools there. The pools didn't give much, got a few instincts, most importantly teleport controll wich I had still not gotten at the time, but maybe more importantly they didn't give me any bad ones. I got a aging and a few snakes, but that is not to bad. Before I had dropped all my equipemnt before I dove into the water to make sure it didn't get destroyed my the water, this included all my healing potions wich turned out to be a problem... This character did not have amy swimming skill so he took quite heavy dammage from the short swim. After drying up all the pools, the way back into darkforge had been blocked my a steel golem and a few dwarven chaos knights, meaning I would have to stand in the water fighting them to get back. They where also just within my view so I was uneable to use extended wait to reciver my hp. Finaly I became to impatient and grew tired of waiting to heal up, I was going to move into a possition where I only needed to move over one water square to get to the corridor, but I had not recovered enough hp and sadly drowned in the attempt :( I had expected the RNG (Random Number Generator) to dish out someting nasty to this character considering the luck he had early on, but looking back I have to kick myself for not just praying to get healed, and brought my pick axe to make a new entrance. What on earth was I thinking jumping into the water with less than 50 hp left with a character that couldn't swim :( ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Background Information ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Gobtwacker Race: male Dwarf Class: Weaponsmith Eye color: brown Hair color: black Complexion: brown Height: 4' Weight: 176 pounds Age: 96 (grown-up, 33 years of unnatural aging added in) Star sign: Book Birthday: 4/Book (day 34 of the year) YOUR HISTORY: Your parents belong to the nobility. They are rich, respected, wealthy and own more than they can count. As a young child you were often alone. You did not have any friends. You do not like to remember those times. They were very sad. In your youth you worked a lot to become rich and famous later. Consequently you rarely had enough time to play with other kids of your age. As a young adult you spent a lot of time searching for a deeper meaning and purpose in your life. You pondered and pondered but nothing truly sparked your interest. Finally, after many many hours, you made a decision. You decided to become a Weaponsmith. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inventory ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total weight: 480 stones Carrying capacity: 4400 stones Head : - Neck : uncursed amulet of petrification resistance [3s] Body : uncursed robes of resistance (-4, -4) [+3, +12] {To+5}[60s] * A wery neat artefact, just sad I used ages to improve a scale mail to aprox the same DV, PV values just to find this directly afterwards, still I cant't exactly complain about it :) Girdle : blessed girdle of strength [+0, +0] {St+1} [15s] Cloak : - Right Hand : uncursed eternium two-handed sword (+21, 6d5+18) [+3, +0] * This is a quite awesome weapon, especialy considering I found it at level 1 it's nearly the only weapon I ever used.
