The game started out rather bad.  Went into the SMC, found the downstairs on
the other side of the level from the up, and decided to go in. Soon found a
large hammer and a good shield, and figured my weapon problem was over
(the scalpel kinda sucks)

However, I found a pool, and decided to drink.  It gave me detect invis
and sleep resistance, but rusted my hammer, which broke soon afterward.
Stuck with a cursed broken rusty large hammer, I was thinking it was over.
Then a door trap destroyed the hammer, and i used the first sword I could
get my hands on.

Left the UD running from a steel zombie I couldn't hurt.

Ran down to Dwarftown, got a quest to kill a hyena, went up a level and killed
one, went down again, decided to do the graveyard next since I didn't feel up
to the forest.

Went over there, killed everything on the surface, something dropped an
adamantium plate mail which I put on, then went down.  Hit a teleport trap,
and thanks to control managed to get one step away from the tomb. Stepped
onto it, poured holy water, then backed to the side to hack at them.
Something there dropped an eternium two-handed sword, which i used for the 
rest of the game.  The bone golem died fast, but I also found gauntlets
of strength +3 in there, so opted to sell the gauntlets instead.

Got pick pockets up, learned detect traps and disarm traps, so i could do
the pyramid less painfully.

Came back, did the last of the dwarf elders quests, sold my extra artifacts
and sacced all my gold to get crowned with fire immunity and the robes
of resistance.  One of the ogres in the cave dropped a blue helm, so I
decided to go talk to Blup's mom.

Did the puppy (corpse) quest and found a pair of seven league boots
at the bottom, blessed em.

Did Darkforge.

Got thru the ToEF for the first time, wearing only my robes, my sword,
and my ankh. Got my first corruption, thorns, and escaped with the Fire Orb.

Got the RotHK, then dove into the CoC.

Found a greater undead vault, avoided it.

In a red dragon vault, I found a blessed wand of wishing with 5 charges.
Wished for Detect Item Status, an amulet of life saving, and some scrolls
of chaos resistance. (forgot what else)

Water and Air temples were easy, but Earth gave me some problems until I
tried a different strategy. Trying to kill all the earth elementals only
wore down my hp, finally I just teleported next to the guardian, killed
it, grabbed the orb, and teleported out.

Frost giant vault, then later another red dragon vault.

Received the runed-covered trident on D 43, never used it.

A surge of power on UL 6 yielded a named frost giant jarl guarding
Thunderstroke (too bad i hadn't touched a crossbow the entire game).

Then, Ilih made the mistake of underestimating the Chaos Archmage.
Unfortunately, this mistake proved fatal.
