Blessed Invisible Satiated Coward

My first Avatar win (well my first no-scummed win).
Took a cautious approach.
Teryino to read spellbooks, get food etc
The off to the outlaw post to kill a beggar, had to kill an outlaw instead though, so had
to avoid killing outlaws for a large part of the game.
Went to small dungeon, got lucky, the down stair case was in the room next door.
Back out, did puppy cave, but left the last level alone so that I could get the lawful bonus
at the end of the game. No altars generated, very disappointed.
Took druid quest, but again I didnt complete until I needed the artifacts (much later), and
even when I did complete, I sold the corpse in teyino so that I could get the POCR when not Chaotic
Through UD, easy, but still not altars or herbs !!
Nothing in HMV of interest, so off to COC.
Took first Dwarf quest, large kobold. Found spellbook of Mystic Shovel, dug out the edges of
the large room, put a white worm in, left it to breed behind closed door.
Created herb garden, lots of stomafilla, morgia and moss.
RODJS !!!!!, altar on level 7 enabled precrown (preserver, +7 Mana !!!)
Acid ball spellbook also found.
Completed all dwarf quests with no problems, and saved Khelly.
Starting to get powerful now.
Pyramid was so easy. Blink dog corpse had been found and eaten already, and another sold
in dwarftown (this was a backup that was never used, no pools were ever drunk from)
Simply teleported across the pyramid to avoid the traps, Magic Mapping is so useful.
Fireball and Firebolt both make pyramid easy.
RODJS !!!!, two in the early stages is so lucky.
Paris of SLB. Blessed them both, left one with the barbarian.
finished the druid quest for the artifacts, and fed the rat.
Started my first dive.
Got my first orb, getting the water orb is a big bonus for a Wizard (+10 Mana).
Acid ball is now very powerful, and with v.high Le, a lot of points available.
Did fire temple, no ring of ice though, but sword of Nonak helped, Alertness at 100 made it easy
TOHK is easy.
Ice Ball freezes a lot of water.
Step on to water, dont open door. Acid ball while outside the door until experience takes a
jump. Open door, collect ring. Remember this tactic, it works again later!!!
Ok, time for a bigger dive, cleared darkforge first, lost one of the SLB in the process!!
Off to TOEF, got orb, and then picked up my backup pair of SLB
Started the dive, and made my first mistake.
I hit the Eternal guardian without thinking.
Now with teleport spell + control, acid bolt + magick missile + acid ball, I eventually took
him down. 5 levels for one monster made me think about hitting his replacement.
Passed the second guardian, and collected two more orbs.
Got the banshee to follow me, and scummed trees for some time, and some money, spellbooks etc
She got highly experienced, but Acid ball took her down with no effort.
Cat Lord pushed my levels up a lot, I'd only killed 7 cats, so he was easy.
He was stood right next to me on the level when I arrived, so I went back up a level so that
I could teleport away if required.
Off to the rift for some spellbooks.
I'd fed the rat quite enough by now, but no point in risking the stone circle until very
experienced.
Completed the library, and got the tome.
Now had almost 10 SOCR
Too late to do the minotaur maze, not a big concern though.
Now for the mana temple.
With stealth at 100, they barely noticed me coming.
Acid balled through the walls to wipe out the eyes. Detected all traps, wand of.
Opened the temple, fired off a few magic missiles. Backed off into the corridor, and acid
bolted all that came out.
Ended up in a long battle with Nuraan V, kept throwing bolts at each other, I barely avoided his
and he shrugged mine off.
Went back up a level to regain PP
Back down, and this time put a door between me and NV.
He stood behind the locked door, and I blasted him into oblivion.
He cant smash or open doors !!
Feeling very smug, I went back up, and nearly got killed (the only time I felt it was close)
Met a doppleganger king, and kept pressing the walk left button, thought I was tough enough.
Only just realised that I had 1hp, and he had two attacks left.
Nothing to do but hope, he missed twice !!!!, that was lucky.
Teleported away, and back to the surface.
Satisified Gaab Bay, used a wish to get a scroll of danger and then found one in my
backpack that I already had.
Stupid waste, should have looked.
Another dive to level 48. Got rid of all but the water orb.
Killed lots of titans, level 50 by now .
Two greater valuts helped, giants and Ettins in one, dragons in the other.
FInished blue dragon quest, thouhgt about killing the ancient karmic Wyrm, but decided against.
Acid ball wont touch him, and dont need experience.
Assassin guild wiped out, quickling bard falls easily to acid ball.
Emperor moloch is too easy. he is so slow that only the corruption is any issue.
Stone Circle was easy now.
Now for some good quests.
Puppy cave complete, druid seemed to have forgotten that I had done his quest.
Hotz killed, and I started to pay beggars.
Still C- !!
Made Blup happy ( I like that quest !!)
read scroll of familiar summoning in the SD, and started to drown a troll king.
Healed the troll king in the undergorund cave for a long time, got to L+ !!!
TORR in hand, went off to the only lawful altar I knew, scintilating cave.
1,000,000 gold later, I'm crowned. Crap gift, dont recall what it was, but crap anyway.
QUickling tree wiped out, and lingered in for some tie, Speed now 140 base.
Scummed the blue dragon cave for some time, three RODJS, extra speed and stats.
Then the final dive, level 50 was easy, barely touched.
Palace of Andor D caused an issue, I couldnt see invisilbe.
Had to wear a ring of see invisible, this cost me some stats.
This solved, I started to Acid ball him to oblivion.
He merely stood two steps away from me the whole time, summoning and telling me my magic was
making him stronger.
Prayer kept pulling my PP back up, and the balors kept falling to my acid ball.
Didnt take long for Andor to go down.
Dark Elvern Wizards are so strong.
Only stupid mistakes can kill them once they get going. You just need patience, and a little
luck, and ultra endings are possible.
