Strained Bleeding Berserk
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lau, was one of the more fortunate and longer living elven rangers i played
(most die either in the UD or the DH). UD had some herblevels and 2 faults
(skipped), HMV-store had 7lb and i could afford them, only to have them burnd
away at the first fire trap. After getting the first dwarfen elder quest (kill
a raider, no problem) i went back to finnish the town-quests (and the two UD
faults), back to the CoC, to finish up on the dwarven quest (everything went
well, the hill giant was the final arena opponent, no mayor stat drain by the
deamon). At lev 14 the piramide. Somewhere in the proces i got cused (keramic
lizard), didnt give any problems. After the piramide i made a dive in the
Infinite Dungeon to gain a few levels (well 1 level) and to find some potions
of water wich i didnt, but found some spellbooks (frostball and teleport) and
was able to learn the spells. Back at in the wildernis, i got my marks for the
guild and the barbarian (first kill; a bandit). Did the graveyard quest,
killed Hotzenplotz (to becom neutral again after eating some corpses). Time to
get the trident, teleport and control enabled me to get in and out without
drowning, but didnt have a chance to look around (didnt realy want to meet a
giant turtle again either, other stupid death). The trident arived before i
was at the tomb of the high king, he fell without a problem. Nextup was
darforge, the steel golems where to tough for me (wel almost) had some scary
moments. And worse just plain weapons/armor, the poolsipping gave me some nice
intrensics, but also made me doomed and cursed and made me lose teleport
control :( , getting out of darkforge was a cowards run. The tower of flames
was to early, do i dived deaper in the CoC. DH yielded a black dragon corps,
and a scare (stone ooze).
Death came when i was clearing out a undeath fault, the undeat was no problem
with the slaying weapon... the doppleganger king was however. And worse it
could have been prevented.
