Another case of "everything was going so perfect, until...".

Magnus became an old man when he was effected by the attacks of a ghost lord
summoned by a lich king that he dug up in the dwarven cemetary. He immediatly
fled the scene and later trained with Garth in Dwarftown to recuperate his
losses. Then he decided that the only way to recuperate his youth was from
drinking from a pool, which he located at Darkforge. He lost his teleportational
contral, and among other fleeting intrinsics and attributes modifications, found
himself blinking to and fro the vast expanses of the humid forge, striving to
return to the pools each time. The game crashed twice from two bugs during this
time from pool sips (not effecting the character, who was recoverable). His aging
worstened and became more severe, until the grim reaper suddenly appeared to claim
his life.

Early in the adventure, he had found a bloody pool somewhere in the UD (beneath the
SMC) right above a giant ant hill, and during the process of draining it, it yeilded
him two wishes. The first was spent on an amulet of life saving, the second on
eternium plate mails (which yeilded only two, and were much less impressive than the
ones in gamma 12, at -1, +13). He decided to push his luck and suddenly found himself
face to face with a hostile water elemental, which he evaded around like a coward,
and then proceeded to flee from down the exiting corridor. Whilst in the process,
coming down the hall from the next room was an ettin, and Magnus began to lose hope,
but then he felt an ethereal bridge swallow him, and thanks to the teleportation
intrinsic granted from the pool, and a blink dog corpse he had previously consumed,
he safely teleported himself to the downstairs and out of the level, grateful and
slightly shaken. Shortly prior to the incident, he had discovered a ring shop and
purchased a ring of ice, which he was also elated to aquire. Alas, he hadnt the
fortune to completely reap its benefits.
