As I said, this is my first win in 1.0.0.  I've won twice with g16p2, but
my last win was actually almost a year ago.

This character was a lot of fun to play.  I didn't find a single spellbook
of Acid Ball the entire game, and as such, I was forced to figure out some
new tactics for the lower levels of the CoC.  Fortunately, these tactics
were easy to figure out: eat all the killer and greater claw bug corpses I
could find, then raise willpower back to a decent level.  At that point,
Merilea was sitting with some nice stats.  But it wasn't enough - when she
got the two required corruptions, it was off for a feast of quickling.  Mmm.

So yeah, ~200 speed with Sting/Needle was all she needed.  She was pure melee
in the end game, with the occasional ball spell in D50 to help clear the
crowds.  The only time she switched was when fighting the Balors and
Fistanarius.  In those cases, she was wielding the rune-covered trident.
She had been using an eternium spear for a fair amount of time, so she was
pretty handy with the trident.

The only thing that eluded her was the Axe of the Minotaur Emperor.  I really
wanted it this time, and eventually gave up because of the corruptions I was
getting and the pain in the ass that it generally was.

I probably had more fun playing her than any other character, even my first
winner (gnomish wizard).

Note: The library isn't worth it for a Necromancer.  You get too few books.

I also decided to keep the armour from my statue, mediocre as it is.  I just
think it's sorta neat. :)

I was semi-roleplaying this character (as opposed to the last one, which was
a mindless victory).  She went in light and came out light - the only things
she kept were a couple of suits of armour for her house, some magical knick-
knacks, and a handful of gems to remember the Drakalor Chain.
