You schuld think I had learned to pay better attention to the warnings that Strength of Atlast is about to expire by now (this is the second promesing character I have lost in this manner, and probably a handfull more altogether). Anyway this character did quite well, no extraordinary luck or anyting (quite a few altars generated, but that's about it), but things went quite smooth. Found the raider lord straight away, made it to the bottom of the puppy cave in time (though the little beast got himself killed fairly soon after I arived on it's level). There was also a shop generated on level 1 of the puppy cave, a misc shop. Nothing great in stock, but at least I had a place to sell stuff for better prices that in the outlaw town. I made it to the High Mountain Village without to much trouble, and once there I picked up a spellbook of Strenght of Atlas and went back down the way I came and vacumed ALL the stuff I had left behind (tonnes of shell and plante armours and lots of battle axes from a couple of gnoll vaults), and gragged it all back to the HMV store, and left a rich man. From there I made my way to the arena and stocked up on Cooked Lizards and fought a couple of battles. Then I tracked all the way back, did the druid quest (killed the back druid with 3 Acid Bolts without him ever getting near me), killed the crime lord and all that, and then headed for the pyramid (I was level 15 at this point). The pyramid was WERY easy for this character. Having picked up detect traps from the thieves guild earlier it was no problem to get to Rethep, and he himself didn't even notice me before I had killed off all his guards (stealth is nice). Once he charged me he fell to óne Fire Bolt (25 effeciency at the time). By the time I hit Dwarftown I had converted myself to L via the Amulet of Order I got from the Seriff, so I proceded to sacrifice quite a bit of gold just to get some favour if I ever needed to pray again. Did the dwarven quests without much trouble (the Greater Deamon did drain a LOT of stats thoguh (5-6 from various stats at least). The dwarven halls where uneventfull, the worst I faced was a Gorgon wich was dispatched with healthy respect (took no chances that is). The dwarven graveyard wasn't to hard either, didn't find much of interest though. Dug up all the "great treasure" graves and about half of the other graves before my alignment had dropped to LN and I descided it was time to call it a day. I had still not found any amulets of life saving so I proceded to play a little with the forces of Chaos. Made about 20 Potions of Raw Chaos and started morphing amulents. No luck though and I got my first corruption a short while after (no doubht helped along by me spilling some of that crap on my hands from time to time). I descided to try and get pre crowned and sacrificed enough gold to get to "extremely close". but my praiers remained unheard. I figured out that with all the artefacts I had found so far I would have to be at least level 34 before I could get pre-crowned, and so I gave up on that idea. Unsucessfull at producing an Amulet of Life Savnig I headed for Darkforge hoping to get a wish there. Getting myself surounded by Steel Golems and blasting off a few Lightning Balls I swiftly cleaned out the place and started drinking. Got myself doomed and cursed a few times, but I had the good sence to stop by an altar and get them removed before I continued drinking. After having drained two pools I had managed to aquire two wishes, spent the first one on the elusive Amulet of Life Saving, and the second on Scrolls of Chaos Resistance. However in the process of drainig the third Darkforge pool I became Doomed again, so I started heading back to the nearest alwar (COC:2). Unfortunately I had forgotten about having the entire Darkforge loot still in my inventory at this point, and in my rush to get to the altar I overlooked the warnings that the Strength of Atlas spell was about to wear off.
