I guess I should post this, as I've been meaning to for the last few weeks. Started up a
Dwarven Farmer born in the month of the sword with the goal of reaching
grandmastery in Polearms. Never found anything better than a 1d8+5 Orcish spear
which got destroyed in a jelly vault. I had to do the ToEF without any gear protection
and a normal mithril spear, as I got Rolf's Saviour from the dwarven Elder. Why does he
give you a shield if you already have protector?

I was in a real hurry, as I had spent a lot of time on the surface and was being
corrupted _very_ quickly even with the farmer's 30% resistance. This probably
attributed to my demise greatly, as I should have returned to dwarftown, and arranged
my equipment properly. I had a lot of stuff from the Casion Gift Shop as I rob it every
game. I use a cursed wand of door creation to block off the downstairs, then go and hit
the shopkeeper with preferably an acid wand. Then I teleport into the place with the
big guard and dispatch him. Works quite nicely, but you _need_ teleport control for it to
work. I'm pretty sure that I had around 4 greater vaults this game.

Was doing splendidly, impaling my way through the monsters, when I found a greater
undead vault. It didn't kill me, but the Emperor liches messed Todd up so much that he
never really recovered. Got killed by a greater moloch in three rounds five seconds after
I got the stiff muscles corruption. A fun game though, and I will definetly be playing
Farmers again.
