I was invisible had tonnes of bolt spells and then I go and try to hack a stone ooze to pieces in melee... Yet another case of the "buff character" syndrome I guess. The character did ok, nothing spectacular found two vaults with acompanying altars fairly early, but I never did get more than "very close"... Picked pocketed "Whirlwind" from a wherewolf somewhere abowe dwarftown. After cleaning out the dwarwen graveyard, I took care of the bug temple, ate a few bugs, destroyed all the statues and all that. Then I visited the Water dragon, there was a glowing ring in there that seemed interesting, but I descided against trying anything funny down there. Then I headed to darkforge where I got two wished from the pools. I spend them on a amulet of life saving and some rings of ice. With my rings of ice I headed to the tower of eternal flame, my resistance wasn't quite up to speed, but with two blessed rings of ice and a heap of fireproof blankets my equipment was quite save. Casting cure crutical wounds ocationaly kept my HP at a comfortable level. Wearing a cloack of invisibility I dug my way into the inner sanctum, fired off a couple of frost bolts, fired off one blessed arrow of dragon slaying (bows level 7), picked up the orb and left. Then I collected the RoHK and dove into the CoC for real. Saved Khel with the amulet, got the water orb, killed the banshee and then I got windshielded by that stone ooze after getting too cocky after taking out frost giant jarls, dopelganger lords, Ogre emperors and Berserker kings in melee without any real injuries...
