Dang dang dang! And this character was doing fairly well too. Number of mistakes there: Forgetting
that stone golems can see invisible, standing next to a stone golem as a wizard with tactics set to 
berserk, and desciding to flee down the stairs (with the monster next to me) rather than teleport away
to heal up and zap it from a safe distance.

Found a spellbook of invisibility early on wich proved usefull in gaining some "bonus" equipment from the
local stores. Also found no less than two cloaks of invisibility shortly after.

Found two pools fairly early and a couple of altars, so once I had gotten what I wanted from the master
thief I went lafull (by micro ofering at the altar) worked up some decent piety from sacrificing giant ants
and then drained the pools. A fairly good set of instincts altogether, did end up gettign cursed and doomed
in the process too though, wich is why I took to sneaking around invisible and usign two shields rather than
a melee weapon (had a good mithril warhammer I used a bit early on, but some #¤%# ratlin duelist disarmed
me while I was inside the HMW shop, and I never bothered to buy it back). Using just magic worked ok up
untill the fatal mistakes with the aforementioned stone golem.

The closest call I had had before that incident was when I also forgot that the crime lord can also see invisible.
He got in a good hit before I dispatched him with a final fire bolt, fortunately I happened to have a potion
of cure poison at the time and his bouncers where easy pickings.
