Put EITHER the full URL including "http://", that refeer to a image on a external web server, in the URL field, OR upload a image file (JPEG or GIF only) from your hard disk using the File field.

External images should not be to big because that will cause pages where it is used to load slownly, also keep in mind that they will be forced to display in 60x70 so it's best they use roughly the same aspect. Uploaded files HAVE to be no bigger than 60x70 in size.
