In the "Level, race/class, gender, exp and turns" field you put just that. The first line of the "gory details..." excluding the characters name and the period following it (see the illustration below). Examples of info that could be placed in this field are:
L50 dark elven merchant (M). 103983493 xps. 140807 turns.
L50 trollish priest (M). 55131630 xps. 405048 turns.
L38 trollish bard (F). 28469870 xps. 87477 turns.
Make sure the first character of the info you paste into the field is a L.
The "Date of death/win/ascendancy" field should be fairly self-explanatory. Simply paste in the 2nd line of the "gory details..." as illustrated below. Examples of info that could be placed in this field are:
Died on 7/12/1998.
Won on 3/22/1999.
Ascended on 9/10/1999.
Please make sure the year part is a full 4 didgit number, and not just 98 or 99 (only an issue with the older ADOM versions).
The "Place and mode of death/win message" field should contain the last bit of the "gory details..." as illustrated below. This is the information describing the way the character died, or his/her win message. Examples of info that could be placed in this field are:
She was transformed into a chaos being in the realm of
the chaos dragon.
He was blasted by Andor Drakon, the invisible ElDeR cHaOs GoD in the palace
of Andor Drakon.
He was killed by a greater claw bug in an overgrown ancient ruin complex.
In the "FLG type" field you select the option that best describe the content of your FLG file.
The "FLG file" field should contain the actual FLG file for your character (the memorial file). Click on the "Browse..." button (the label on the button may vary depending on the language of your OS) and then browse your way to the file in question. As the name implies these memorial files have a .flg extension and will be in your ADOM folder, the file will have the same name as your character.
I would recommend that you edit the FLG file before you upload it. A short story also help spice it up quite a bit, or at the very least a few comments at strategic parts of the file.
Only files with a .flg or a .txt extention will be accepted.
There are no special requirements, anyone can submit character of any level from any ADOM version. I have only one absolute rule: NO CHEATERS.
Obviously you can trick me quite easily, it's fairly easy to cheat without me ever finding out, but please respect these rules, and help me keep the HoF "clean". Just for the record I don't mind if people cheat at ADOM, I to it myself occasionally, but cheated characters does not belong here, that is all.
The first time you submit a character you'll need to register a name in the player database first, using the player submission form (or you can just pick <unknown> from the list to submit anonymously). Once you are registered you can ignore the player submission form altogether and just select your name from the drop-down list in the character submission form. Note that players without any submitted characters are periodically deleted, so don't register your name until you have a character to submit.
Once you have submitted a character it will first have to be inspected and approved before it will become visible in the Hall Of Fame. So it might take up to a week or two before a recently submitted character is listed publicly. Usually it should take no more than a day or two though.
