What do you all think the si looks like? Even if you haven't tried to give it a mental image, you might still have some subconscious idea, so dig it out of the back of your mind and share it.

According to weaponsmiths, the si is made of adamantium, so keep that in mind.

I imagine that it's a round black metallic bar, roughly half an inch wide and around six inches long, and it splits in the middle into two bars like that so that it's kind of shaped like a tuning fork. It could replicate by having more 3 inch segments of bar come out of the centre, changing the Y-ish shape to a lopsided H, then to a W-ish shape, and then after one more bar emerges the whole object would split into two new tuning forks.

Oddly specific, eh? I have no idea where I got that image from, but it's how I tend to think of it now.

I always thought of it to be a white spherical shaped object about the size of a cantaloupe.

I always thought of it as some greyish bar.
Never had thoughts about it's duplication process, though :P

I always had a picture of it being a sort of...

Take an accordion.

Take a longbow.

Take a notebook.

Meld them together.

That's the idea I have.

Sort of a folding thing with strange proportions and weird appendages. And a springy bit of the accordion, and the whole thin can sort of flap open and closed.

quite funny thread, I mean. I didnīt think about it ever. But if the si always costs so much, it could be some extraterrestrial stuff...
IMO the only way to be sure is to ask TB.

You can use http://images.google.com/images?q=si and try to find something interesting... not many things that ADOM si could look like, but I have found something like this

www.cvc.sunysb.edu/images/gallery/si.jpg

or autowave.kvs.cx/partshop/parts/si-tosute-.jpg

[I don't know how to create a link... the link to "formating help" does not work]

The Si... Hmm, I always thought of it as glowing, radioactive metal... something like kryptonite, but not as dangerous. :)

The Si's strange qualities enable it to act as some sort of strange extraplanar portal, and its strange powers pull in more Si-material from wherever it came from.

Hmm, i've always thought that the si looked like a sickle. A bit like this:

/'''''''''\

''''''''' /
||''''''''

A perfect crescent moon shape, shiny and the handle is made from some light colored wood. The handle also has a small "knob" at the end.

I always thought of the Si as a metal item shaped like the universe - a 3 dimentional sphere warped around 2 dimensions. Meaning: a 5 dimentional 'sphere'.
It had a shimmering grey colour and multiplies when you blink your eyes or look at something else.

Hm. I've never really thought about it. I guess some kind of grey wrought metal blob, about the size of a man's fist, but appears kind of blurry and makes you dizzy if you look at it too long.

oddly enough, I have an extremely specific picture of the crown of science. It's a round, black iron kind of coronet with tall metal extensions - kind of like the crown of the witch king of angmar from the lord of the rings movies. When someone puts it on, metal spikes suddenly come out all around it and punch through the wearer's head and directly into their brain, which is why it's autocursing, and makes you smarter in a twisted evil way (curse+doom).

I've always seen the Si as an yellow item, and it's a completely shapeless item with a short handle

BTA, has anyone ever checked with a weaponsmith what the Si i made of, if its made of metal

Well, laugh at this if you like, but I picture the Si as being greyish black, and somehow Z-shaped, you know, like the Tetris figure that looks like a Z? Well, that one.

Alex, your crown of science idea is pretty morbid. Cool, though.

I always thought it looked like a crowbar, or a spherical shape, and it would possibly glow or feel warm or something.

I always imagined it as a iron bar tangle. Imagine a dust bunny, except big, and the strands are bars of iron (or adamantium, I suppose).

A strange property of the si would be that if you'd only ever find 1 end. If you traced the first end with your finger, you'd never reach another end, and never reach a loop. It would just keep going and going.....

I always thought it looked like ]. A bar with two conduits. Inside it was all the material needed to form others like it. But I seriously don't have half a clue what it could be.
Some have argued that confronting the threat from Drakalor could detract from the war against Chaos. To the contrary, confronting the threat posed by Drakalor is crucial to winning the war on Chaos.
