Al, my lvl 8 trollish assassin, went into the CoC down to the arena, then left to get the barbarian quest. when he returned, on S:3, he ran into a *&!#%!@ ghost lord!!! how was i supposed to kill it?? i did manage to kill it, but then i aged and died. muther %!&#er. ivan.sourceforge.net |

hmm, it has to be short... I've never went through there without something nice from there. (I mean, bad guys) Good place to get some exp, but not good as Ancient dwarwen caves. Yup, the DH is a good place to gain some exp (if you can survive the tough cookies there). My latest char (human wizard) wasn't having much porblems there meleeing (thanks to my mace of destruction) AND also found a coaligned altar there. IIRC a werewolf lord was the last thing I needed to get extremely close and get crowned (stupid mutt, just stepped straight to the altar)... |

I'm playing troll elementalist lvl30, who discovered greater vault of undeads. Any hints for killing the many emperor liches? All I can do is to bounce into walls when I get near them. Halaa puuta |

one word: fire. the only time I actually cleared a greater undead vault (with lev. 45 high elf wizard), my improved fireball spell got *very* effective. Die Gedanken sind Frei |

With a high elf wizard... yes, BUT troll, he can cast probably twice improved fireball, and then it would be forgotten. Does anyone have knowledge about protective amulets? I have staff of archmagi, and it should grant resistance against confusion, but it isn't helping; maybe there are just too many emp. liches to deal with. btw. found BoW from an ettin in Ancient karmic dragons quest :)- ,and the first blue dragon had blue dragon scale, too easy.. I've never really cleared out a greater undead vault. Does the bless spell work on those emperor liches. Also I've had multiple enhanced confusion resistance but those emperor liches still confuse me. Yeah what do those protective amulets do? THE MESSIAH,I'm here now,Worship me. |

I've also been having a problem with a greater undead vault. I'd cast Improved Fireball, and it would cast and everything, but it would take approx. double the PP it was supposed to. Any ideas why? --- Hicpotboy ------ Hicpotboy --------- Less twitch, more mental itch - saying by me. |

Learned it from a blessed spellbook of Light, wearing the ankh, with no room effects, Concentration and Literacy both at 100. Took one try ("The ground rumbles") before I successfully learned the spell; read the spellbook until it disappeared (one more unsuccessful reading). now I can successfully cast Light. Mana is at 12, Willpower is 32. Die Gedanken sind Frei |
