They are quite rare. The RNG is quite whimsical. I may go many games without seeing a pair and then find 3 pairs in one game. Spoily Spoiler A guaranteed way to start the game with a blessed pair of 7 league boots is to choose the Heir talent with a bard. The prerequiste talents are Charming and Boon to the family IIRC. You do need 3 talents right from the start though...a gnomish bard is guaranteed to get that, possibly other races too, check Andy Williams guidebook for details. Quite often I will use a wish on seven league boots. If you do this make sure to wish for "seven league bootss" to get multiple pairs. |

I just tested in winbeta 4. Both "pairs of seven league boots" and "seven league bootss" gave 3 pairs each when wished for... so you can listen to me. (if you're so inclined =P) |

In my current game there were two pairs generated in Holeinthewall within 2 game days!!...I have a low lev character (lev8 Gnome Fighter, just started)This might be promising! I better prepare an offering to appease the RNG...I have this very bad feeling in the back of my mind |

Not neccessarily: once i found a spellbook of wish on VD:1, and that was the first character i managed to get to lvl 50. Ever. I usually manage to pick up a pair of 'em somewhere, they are not too uncommon - unless you search for them... http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

With regards to the two pairs of boots in the holeinthewall shop... I tired to convert the altar...failed and converted myself...shortly thereafter fell in a pit and got surrounded by shakes and died from poisoning...couldnt pray because of the conversion mishap... DAMN YOU RNG!!!DAMN YOU TO HELL...sorry i didn't mean that RNG...please don't kill me :,( |

Make a bard and get the following talents: Boon to the family -> Charming -> Heir (and Alert, if you can, because you can't get it later) and you have SLBs at the start of the game. Yummy. |

make any character and pick the following talents: Alert -> Miser -> Treasure Hunter. A fair chance to find 7lb even before dwarftown. A lot of PoGA:). 7lb not worth a wish, imo. i'd choose AoLS or 'willpower' (early/late game). What do you wish for? *THUMBS* EM_ Silence. Silence. .... *THUMB* *THUMB* *THUMB* You die... |

Everything but quicklings AND bugged Greater Molochs :P - last winner, wanted to dive to ID:66 before leaving, got a tension room of GMs, one dropped a moloch armour, that another equipped, and smack-smack-smack, you die. btw, why does that bug appear? iirc an average speed of a gm is 50-90, and the moloch armor decreases Sp by 20, not more. does the dexterity decrease from moloch armor (-20 too) count here? What do you wish for? *THUMBS* EM_ Silence. Silence. .... *THUMB* *THUMB* *THUMB* You die... |
