Then tell me what use this could be: black tome "black tome of Alsophocus" weight: 400s powers: random spell when read, corrupts, contains essense of chaos and corruption I'll NOT use things that corrupt. Ever. I would've sacrificed that stupid useless piece of crap but there was not a single altar in PC (IIRC). And carrying that corrupting piece of s**t all the way to dwarftown...no way ! |

Well, The black tome of Alsophocus is useful to learn spells while being close to a source of corruption curing (White Unicorn for example). Just don't walk around with the thing too long. Drop it someplace safe until you're ready to learn heaps of spells. Also, those doing an ultra ending and need to be extremly corrupted can use the black tome to speed things up a bit.
