Ah shit, I just wrote quite long post and accidentally opened&closed another page... Yeehaw...

Anyways, to put it shortly, I am currently playing with drakish ranger, lvl 19, that got crowned (got Nature's Friend), lvl 12 on swords, lvl 6 on crossbows and several levels on other missile weapons. I have completed Thrundarr's quests, cleared the Pyramid, got Ring of High Kings... Ask if you want more specific information.

How hard the rift is? I haven't cleared darkforge or Tower of Eternal Flames yet.

Rift is ...variable.
Sometimes it's very VERY hard.
Sometimes a breeze.

Depends on the equipment you take with you.
If you bring a lot of good stuff, and have mostly
junk destroyed in the fall, you might do very well.

Do Darkforge before Tower. If you are tower-material, DF is easy.

Spoiler

You need to be 21 to enter the rift.
One level will be got from darkforge.
If you have a supply of extra healing potions (you should after dwarf quests) and some special way of dealing with the ACW (cold spell, wand of paralyzation/poison, wyrmlance, dragon slaying ammo) then fire temple can be done. You seem a little low at level 19 though.

Yes, I planned to do some IDing :)

Btw, sorry about double-posting, I was sure that I deleted the earlier post..

Darkforge won't be so bad, because I have teleportisis and teleportation control. I just need a good sword which deals more damage, some of penetration-sword or something... Sword of Nonnak or Death's Sting ain't good enough to cause enough damage to steel golems.

In regard to the darkforge

Spoiler
humanoid and construct slaying weapons/missiles do very well against the steel golems, also lowering speed will give you 2 or 3 levels, i usually do darkforge at level 16ish and come out at level 18-19

I visited ID as I promised, found some useful equipment. The drakeling is now level 21. I slayed the Snake from Beyond at level 19 or 20. It should drop the Chaos Orb of Elemental Water, but.. I can't find it from the level..
