tongHoAnh, it won't work in these situations: ##### f.@.f ##### (also to get the tags to work you must use capital letters) "I don't know what World War 3 will be fought with, but I know World War 4 with be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

At the end of the day it's not always possible to avoid killing cats. Most characters don't make it far enough in the game for it to even matter, so annoying as it is to have to kill a kitty you shouldn't let it get to you :) Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I never find myself forced to kill a cat, it always seems to be by accident. On most games I successfully get the ring, and I've never lost the ring after getting it. Getting the ring doesn't make a character, it's really just a slight advantage. I've finished the game at least once or twice without it. Heh, usually I'll try to avoid killing cats and quit if I accidentally kill one early on, but my current char (gray elven bard) seemed to be doing so well I just went on and just slaughtered those furballs without worry. IIRC killing the cat lord then netted the char three levels (IIRC, 27 to 30). The char is doing pretty well, BTW. 4 of the 5 orbs are collected (mana orb missing) and the char makes short work of most opponents in melee (or using arrows). Priests are also decent against cats with the music skill. Drakeling priests are one of my favourite combos. And yes, the new speed is fantastic! Thank you Jan, for whatever you've done, it's amazing to have this speed again. Hopefully it'll encourage more activity on the forum... And you can use a wand of destruction, or, dear necromancers, order a pet to do the dirty job. Maybe already mentioned, but I'm too lazy to check the whole topic. (\_/) (o.0) (> <) ( / \ ) Don't click this http://www.mindistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Darkcutter |
