Isn't luck applied every time a dice is rolled to nudge it in the PC's favour? Like... the wonderful thing about object oriented programming is that you can have a dice-rolling function, used for every dice roll in the game. If the luck code is INSIDE that function, then it is applied to EVERY SINGLE DICE ROLL EVER. I would assume that's how B-Thom implemented it, unless he likes PAIN and mental ANGUISH. :| Zoop de Whoop |

I remember someone who picked at the executable a lot about a year ago. He came to the conclusion that luck doesn't factor into item generation. It has more to do with monster generation (dooming means more monsters, I don't know if fate smiles means you get fewer monsters than normal) and whether or not a monster will damage your armor, etc. The following is a real Adom message: The homunculus hits you.
