No herbalism if you take healing is annoying. Elven chain mail *can* get busted, more so with a cursed character. Low toughness - can die to unlucky trap in early game. (or mid-game if you get sickened) ToEF - need a ring of ice if you plan on using archery here. Crowning gifts - artifact sling, arrow and quarrel are pretty useless gifts. Boots useless if you plan on using 7lbs. Crossbow and Bow would be good. Overall weak enough. But I agree there is much good to archers. Concentration means they can become great spellcasters too. Alertness + dodge really rocks to avoid those energy bolts from ACW [Edited 1 time, last edit on 3/12/2007 at 07:00 (GMT -5) by Molach] |

Oh yeah, Soirana got the idea for using friday 13th, so I guess he (she?) should decide rules and decide who can host it if not him(her)self. When the time draws nigh, someone should plop down a message on Adom.Group too so they can share the fun. |

excluding certain races and classes seems good for me. i mean than wizards, archers, priests, barbarians together with dwarfs, drakes and trolls are out it looks lot of better for me. what's your opinion guys? A root is a flower that disdains fame. Kahlil Gibran(1883-1931) |

I'm back:D I personally think that it should be either random, to see who gets the worst/best combo. or People should just choose combo, since as I've said before, we all have hard enough of a time with blessed+fate smiled chars, how are we gonna win with just a cursed char....should be interesting. "You try to give Fang, the large dog the bone. Fang, the large dog says,"Do you know who I am, mortal?!?!" My smartest dog ever:D |

I vote pure random. It's the simplest and easiest way for everybody to participate. So what if nobody wins? :D Molach: "I like to have 200+ hp and over 5 good healin potions when I do [the fire] temple. AND some way of killing the Wyrm" Morio: "Some way of killing the worm is recommended, yes :D" |

I agree random too. Restriction on game: Cannot ever lift the curse by any means. And people who want to, can add further challenges (like saving puppy, killing specific monsters, becoming doomed at some point) at their own discretion, for greater glory if they succeed. (But no quantified "cred") Time to roll a high elf mindcrafter hehe |

and never be blessed or fate smiles, or have items that bestow those abilities. that would make for a nice hard game. |

Yeah, I also say random - who cares if we die? That's half the point in a way - who dies quickest or in the most pathetic way. General consensus seems to be on staying cursed without lucky or fate smiles, which is a simple enough restriction. Means the kitty ring is useless, so might as well kill lots of cats :D Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |
