Here is a small analysis of the chances of receiving a particular effect by drinking from a pool. This is based on 200 seperate drinks (drink from pool once, quit, restore, drink again, etc.) and assumes the PC has NO intrisics (Fire Resistance, Invisibility, Poison Resistance, etc.) at the time of drinking from the pool. This is why many of the effects will have a zero percent next to them. I am considering doing another test with a PC that has ALL intrisics, but will save that for later, and only if people would find it helpful. This is obviously not the definitive analysis on the pool effects, but it does give a little insight into the odds of actually receiving that special ability you've been dreaming of... And, as an aside, I'm sorry this is such long post. I tried to make it as small as possible!
