I'm new with unix systems and this uni where I am is full of them. Now I'm wondering how to get ADOM working with these computers. I have followed the instructions but still can't get ADOM working. It just doesn't run. "Copy the adom binary into a directory of your choice. This directory must be included in your PATH variable." That's my problem, I have no idea what PATH variable is... any help? Drendil |

umm, heh, well, I got that thing fixed, but the result is: "adom/adom: Exec format error. Binary file not executable." So what do I do now? Drendil |

I think the problem is that your machine is a Sun running Solaris, and your copy of ADOM was compiled for a PC running Linux. Unfortunately, that doesn't help you play ADOM, since Thomas Biskup hasn't compiled it for any "flavour" of Unix except for Linux. All you can do is try to find a PC running Linux (or Windows, for that matter) and play ADOM on it. If you're unsure what flavour of Unix a machine is running, typing "uname" should tell you. |

*sigh* Then it is as I have feared... Have to wait for the new windows adom then, since all the computers here are running either Solaris or WinXP :-( Drendil |
