Is it better to go to level 6 in the process of getting the blanket from the small cave, or to bail once you see you're getting experience so you can do the Kranach quest?
Please reply!

I almost never do the kranach quest unless I happen to run into him by luck. Usually it just takes me too much time to find him and the reward isn't that great, some money and a lawful boost. Yippee. I could just find a lawful altar and sack some to get my trolls to lawful. So I'd get the blanket. You'll love it when you run into your first river.

Depends on how much money my character starts with. If I only start with around 50-60 gold, I do the quest (to buy food). Otherwise, I go for the blanket...

i like to do the kranach quest because it gives you money to buy stuff in shops you find in the UD. and its just cool to do as many quests as you can. plus you can get law later on.

btw, why should i do the puppy quest. The L boosts are insignificant and "reward" (candy) really isn't worth your attemps.
Heh, only reason - making the red girl happy ;-)

Well, the puppy cave is another dungeon to explore. It can contain herbs and altars, and there's a guaranteed lesser vault on the bottom level.

However, trying to save the puppy alive isn't worth the risk, IMHO. I go through the UD first and then do the puppy quest. The puppy is always dead by then, but I'm strong enough to survive the puppy cave.

First kill in holeinthewall->generate PC as lvl 1->PC/druid/carpenter->PC/UD->PC/UD->Kill crime lord, master thief, mad doctor, get courage->CoC. But, I've never made it very far so don't copy my style.

(D)rink potion, (!) dip something into potion, drop stuff on an altar of your color (Lawful = White, Neutral = Grey, Chaotic = Black). I don´t know how good your standing with your god has to be for him to check c/uc/b status for you, but I think it wasn´t high.
