OOC: well, a while ago i wrote something on the General forum about this, but didn't get much attention. but anyways, heres kinda what i was thinking (as far as the stories go). note that the first two i have a long storyline outlined already, but the third i just made up on the spot and has no elaboration ready yet whatsoever (and also isn't quite complete). IC: fine leather armor "Natures Companion" ----------------------------------------------- Elarus was a famous High Elven ranger who was very in tune with nature. Once, the forests of his home were in danger. He donned his simple leather vest and went forth to defeat his foe. Afterwards, Ayssia appeared and blessed him and took his armor, which she reworked and blessed before returning it to him. It was lost when he and his friend Laroc were killed defending one of the Druid Trees. intracate wooden shield "Nature's Friend" ------------------------------------------------ "Nature's Friend" was the shield born by Laroc, one of Elarus the Ranger's closest companions. When Ayssia called upon them to defend a Druid Tree, they were hard pressed to do so. When evil beings had surrounded them, the Druid Tree suffered to have one of it's strongest limbs turned into a shield by magic. With this shield, Elarus and Laroc were able to force back the advancing legions, and even defeat their leader. The death of the leader, however, released such chaotic energys that Elarus and Laroc both perished, and their artifacts were lost. silvery arrow "True Aim" ------------------------------------------------ This is said to be the arrow the legendary Archer hero Joseph Longarm used to slay the cyclopsian demigod Fireclaw. Fireclaw had lead an army of foul creatures, pillageing and burning far and wide. Every attempt to vanquish him had failed utterly. Joseph was told by [OOC: name of Human Lawful god/ess] that the only way to defeat him was to shoot his eye with an arow. With that, [OOC: name] gave him a silvery arrow soaked in [his/her] own blood to use. The arrow went home, and Fireclaw was slain. The arrow, however was taken by the remnants of the army as they retreated, and hasn't been seen since. ivan.sourceforge.net |

Wow.. no one else has taken this up since 2002? I like this idea. I'll try my hand at it. ------------ sword of Nonnak (+2, 4d3+2) [+2, +2] {Wi+5} Weight: 80s When worn it modifies DV by +2 and PV by +2. When used in melee combat it grants a +2 bonus to hit and causes 4d3+2 points of damage. When used as a missile it grants a -2 bonus to hit and causes 3d3+1 points of damage. It modifies your willpower attribute by +5. It grants resistance to cold. It grants resistance to death attacks. You pick up the Blessed Amulet of Life Saving. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, slowly turns toward you. "That will cost you.. ..your soul" |

Mmmph. Don't take yourself so seriously. The way you're talking its like I just set in motion the end of the world. I apologise for taking an interest :) I obviously didn't understand that this is a Very Serious Business with Strict Rules. It is an Adom artifact.
