1) Smithing
2) Make some more chars (and kill 'em if you want).

Smithing is for weirdos. It's much more fun to just walk around and take whatever you can find. Smithing is a gay skill. (Not to sound homophobic or anything, but it is.)

Smithing a Sword of Sharpness...you don't know what you're loosing Behemoth.

No you do not get to smith pre/suffixes that'd be WAY too powerful... Also if you play a weaponsmith you can melt down items to get for example iron ignot of penetration(me thinks it's a bug and don't know if it works in the newest version) but not even those can give pre/suffixes on weapons.

And with smithing you can also remove rust and fix broken weapons that's very good. You should get smithing if you can afford it (my latest hurthling healer had Ch of 40(crown of leadership for precrowning) and only had to pay 3750gp. Ugly trolls and orcs with low charisma might even have to pay 20000. Didn't get to use it though got pinned between an ancient red dragon and a berserker emperor in the dwarven halls.

But, you can create a weapon of choice complete with pre/suffixes you want if you read the scroll of omnipotence!(and that's just one of the things you get)
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

sword of sharpness is a normal sword. Can be smithed to increase the already good damage.

Indeed, you can't smith pre/suffixes to items. I once tried some smithing with some odd ingots (frozen, brutal, unerring, nasty...) - no joy. In fact it seemed to fail quite often that way.

Too bad, I'd love to have a brutal eternium plate mail or unerring shield or frozen bracers. ;-)

My human paladin had to pay 27000 gp for smithing.
