Beastfighters do more raw damage by about level 15 or so than monks do but monks IMO have much better skills and class abilities. And trollish monks are really great since trolls' big need of food is lessened by being a monk. So if you like beastfighters try a monk once in a while. Lvl 15 is quite good actually, trolls require something like three times as much experience to level as the next slowest one, dwarves. Downside why I don't like beastfighters or monks is that some weapons give big advantages like slaying and give resistances and stuff(you never have enough). Well, not really. I just like the feeling of finding better and better items and if I don't need to find a weapon then I have one less thing to be looking for:) So if you play characters who fight with their hands remember to train your missile weapons to take advantage of slaying ammo(blessed slaying ammo is very damaging). If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
