Hey all, I am now at the furthest point I've ever been in ADOM. I'm a lvl 25 dwarf fighter, I've done all the dwarven quests, I've got the water orb, the fire orb; I've cleared the claw bug temple, the minotaur maze, and darkforge. I've been to Blup's mom, I've been to the casino, and I've got the ring of the master cat. So, where to next? I'm too low level to do the unicorn quest, and I'm afraid of doing the air temple (although maybe I'm good enough to do it?) What do you guys think I should do next? Well sounds like you've pretty much done everything except the rift&library and the lower levels of CoC so you don't have so many options... Do you have high speed because I think your level is quite low considering my latest char gnome bard is something like 23 and hasn't done even the first temple? If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. My final modified speed is 151. I'm power gaming a bit, I'm using polearms + shield, and I took all the defensive and speed feats, so not much can hit me (in tactics very agressive I have a DV/PV of 93/41). Also, I've been pretty lucky with potions and corruptions too (I had the ape corruption for a while to boost my strength and toughness). I guess I'll just have to go into the ID and get my level above 30... ugh, what a chore that will be. -Balrog |

I think your character should be able to handle the air temple. I had a Drakish Barbarian using a very similar strategy (polearm+shield, speed talents, PV talents) who'd retreived all 5 orbs and been all the way down to the blue dragon caves and was only lvl 33. Mind you he died on the way back up, but that was due to me being careless rather than my character not being able to handle it. I've never had any probs with the air temple - fire, earth and mana are all quite a bit trickier in my experience. But having said that, there's no harm in lvling in the ID for a bit - it's better to err on the side of caution after all, especially in ADOM. |

Err, ignore the above post, I just had a look at the .flg file for that character and he was actually level 44, god knows why I thought he was 33. |
