if you throw things at objects that arent enemies, does your skill at throwing that item go up? EX: throwing rocks at a tree to gain skill. |

nope - that would be to easy. You have to attack a living, dodging target to practice (shooting at an immobile target has no sense :P) A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

I think you should get an increase... like maybe a tenth of what you would normally get. You can practice by shooting at targets, right?... And of course the missiles should be destroyed at the normal chance, or even more, to avoid people going out in the wilderness and shooting at trees repeatedly to gain grand mastery in a weapon at level 1. Well maybe you could be able to raise it to skill level 1 from 0, because level 0 is described as 'unskilled'. When you get to mastery ratings I would guess it does little good for your character to practise targeting at stationary trees or so, because he is already pretty good with the bow and shooting at stationary targets does little good to him when he has to target a quickling. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I practice a little in Bows - shooting at immobile targets is one thing, but the chalanging thing is to shoot something that moves - anyone can hit an immobile target (if not "unskilled" :P), the skill is to hit something that moves. THat's what the PC learns when he increases to Skilled, Mastery and so on. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

It has something to do with your St. Maybe you're too weak to smash the door? A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |
