You have to be kidding.

Smashing Pumpkins indeed.

And Nirvana don't count, they didn't last anywhere long enough and produce enough music to even get close to that title.

Nirvana made a lot of good songs. Many of them unreleased. Im into that whole era there with the smashing pumpkins and nirvana. I basically grew up with them. The smashing pumpkins were great for most of their career, but when they took that turn in their music "style" their success fell, as it should of. Nirvana lasted for 5 years, 8 if you count they're live concert times, and his death ended it, not their music.

I didn't say it did.

Nirvana had some fantastic music. But to go from a few good cds to being "absolute best band ever" is a bit much.

Though not my personal favourite, I'd place the Beatles higher than Nirvana on those stakes.

Definately not the best band ever but also maybe even more definately a whole lot better music than the Beatles :/ Well maybe that's just me ;)

If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

I liked JH's purple haze (great song) and that watchtower one, both great song, has a lot of good songs. As for Nirvana made a great deal of good songs ((my opinion) negative creep, you know you're right, lithium, teen spirt) in the time they were around, they haven't been around long enough to be the best, but they are really good. As for music I'll listen to just about anything but pop and country (and that bee song my sis loves so much!)

Everyone throws dead fish at me...
